Is your child interested in creative writing? In the introductory writing session with Ms Alex, students will explore plot, themes, setting, character development, dialogue writing, art work for graphic novel, point of view, and finally pulling it all together in a final share day. Ms Alex is a writer, college professor, and translator. She has numerous published work and teaches creative writing in the Bay Area. *Students bring pens and a notebook. (Min 6, Max 10)

Chess teaches strategic and tactical thinking. Students will be taught rules of the game, castling, check and checkmate, how to transform pawns into a powerful queen and more. They will learn defensive and positional strategies as their chess skills are honed. (Min 8, Max 16)

Drawn to Draw is a fun, exciting and noncompetitive approach to drawing. Children are given step-by-step instruction on basic lines, shapes and perspective, as well as, training in demystifying realistic art. The class enhances your child's confidence to draw by providing sequential instruction on the basics. While creating wonderful pictures, they are exploring language, mechanics and creativity in art and enhancing their ability to effectively learn in other classes. (Min 8, Max 16)
