Students will explore the art of singing together in a fun, cooperative environment with an eye toward a final performance. Participants will sharpen rhythmic skills and pitch recognition and will be introduced to the 3 components of music; melody, harmony and rhythm. This class introduces basic tasks and situations, teaching life skills with lots of humor and real-life experiences. Topics include finding your right fit for employment, how to prepare a resume, budgeting, bills and credit scores, how to change a car tyre. This class will provide a chance to learn about and practice “observational art,” which is just drawing or painting using a real life object, still life, figure model, portrait or landscape as the subject with an aim for accuracy. |
